AAMCO Transmissions & Auto Service of Pantego

Multiple lies and excuses, truck still not fixed, I'll take it somewhere else.

So I had my transmission pulled on a 2003 Ford Excursion for a complete rebuild. They took a week to do it which I thought was a great turn around time. Total out the door was $6286.58, This price included a remanufactured torque converter RV style, fixed rear main seal in engine and changed the differential oil. Also, the shift solenoid pack was changed, new shift indicator switches, new turbine speed switch and a new vehicle output speed switch on differential. I'm ok with all the work done but when I picked up the truck, the ABS light came on going home. I took the truck back and Dan reset the code and said the truck had to "relearn" the new sensor. I drove it home and the next morning I started it up and the ABS light came on again. I took it back to Dan and all he did was reset it and said we need to see if it's the same code. I insisted on it was the same code. I drove it home and didn't even make it a mile and the ABS light came back on again. I tried calling the Aamco number in Pantego TX and it said the voice mailbox was full and couldn't take any messages. I drove there again and told Dan that the voice mailbox was full and he said "huh, I just emptied that and cleared it out. A lie! When I walked in the office, Again, Dan had another excuse, he said "surely the new sensor they put in isn't faulty" and reset the code again. At this point, I'm furious and want to take it to a "Real" mechanic that will troubleshoot the problem and not just reset the code. The second problem is my warranty, Dan promised me a 36 month/36,000 mile warranty. When looking at my paperwork, it shows 18 month, 18,000 mile warranty. I showed this to Dan and he had yet another excuse, he said well that's just what the default is, I'll fix it for you. So, in ball point pen he scratches out the warranty and writes in 36 month/36000 mile. I said that is not going to fly when my tranny gives out later and I'm in a different state. He had another excuse, he said to just have them call me and I'll honor it. I said what if you are not around Dan? He said oh I will be. If anyone knows Dan, any day could be his last, he is no spring chicken and ready for the grave yard. I went in again today, (tried calling first but voice mailbox still full) and asked Dan if my paperwork was done, As he stuttered, and came up with another excuse, he said Saturdays were the day he catches up on paperwork. He said he would email it to me. Still waiting on it. Dan also states that he rebuilt his first motor at age 6! I laughed my $@!#% off. A 6 year old would have no concept of how engines work and the tight tolerances. I'm still waiting on my paperwork to be emailed to me. CAN ANYONE FROM AAMCO HELP ME OUT? I PROMISE I WILL NOT BOTHER YOU ALL AGAIN! NEVER TO RETURN TO THE AAMCO IN PANTEGO TEXAS. Dan is a habitual liar and has more excuses than a cat has lives!
