Botched Transmission Rebuild

When I first took my car into AAMCO Transmission and Auto Service, he looked at my transmission and promptly told me what it needed. I had them do the work they recommended and they rebuilt the transmission completely. Then I go to pick it up, I drive it just down the road, and it did the same thing they did before I took it in. So I took it back and talked to the manager who said he would have the mechanic take it for a drive. I was in the car with the mechanic for the drive and he said it's working fine, but it wasn't. I pointed out that the car was not shifting into overdrive, which was the issue I took it in for in the first place. I was very frustrated with him since I've owned the car since it was new and didn't feel like it was his place to tell me how it was supposed to be working. We took the car back again and the manager drove it this time. He acknowledged the problem and although he didn't really give me a good answer as to why it hadn't been fixed, he said they would drop the pan to take a look at it and we would go from there. I was a bit frustrated since now it was going to be another week or two until I get my car back, but I couldn't really do anything about it.

When they dropped the pan it turned out that it had a bunch of metal in it again after the short amount of driving we had done since the rebuild. He said something must have gone wrong and they had to start over and do another rebuild. So they did that and he calls me up again. I drive it and this time it's working fine, although it does leak a little bit and the low range gears on the 4WD is not working. Neither of my backup lights come on, so I'm assuming they just didn't hook it up. I've had it back 7-8 months now. I could and probably still will take it back again because it's still under their warranty. I was intending to take it back, but I haven't gotten around to doing that mainly because I wanted to drive it for a while to see if it was going to hold up or come apart again, in which case I figured what's the point of taking it in to fix the low range gears and backup lights when the whole thing might have to get torn apart again anyway. So far, it's holding up. I've had to add fluid once since it leaks a bit, but other than that it's shifting OK. The 4wd does come on but the low ranges don't work. The manager there was friendly and nice, but I would never go back them. I should have done a little more homework before I brought it in.
