Read the literature very well before ordering. Refacing your kitchen can be a disaster if you don't know what you're doing. If in doubt, call them and they will answer your questions.

I have worked successfully with this company over almost 10 years now. I've done two kitchens that I'm proud to say that I did it. I had a lot of help on the first one from a professional. That same professional helped me on the second as well. Be careful. If your cabinets are poorly built and are coming apart, this process won't work. But if the cabinets are in good solid shape this is a very inexpensive way to give your kitchen a facelift.

To get an idea of what you are going to save, go to the local home improvement store and have them price new cabinets for you. It will cost as much as 500.00 for a simple 24 x 24 base cabinet with drawers with particle board sides and drawers. If you've got older cabinets from the 60's and 70's, or a higher end home, you've probably got plywood and hardwoods that are far superior. My experience in both kitchens has been that I saved over 50% using the refacing materials.

I studied the refacing materials and literature extensively before attempting the project. This does not happen in a weekend. It's also very important to understand the hardware to get a successful refacing project. Understand what an overlay is and how the wrong hardware can make it impossible to open a door or close a drawer properly.

If you don't understand or feel that this is beyond your capability, there are several alternatives. There is probably a person in your area that does this kind of work. I have one in my area that has shown me a lot of tricks and how to get a good looking project. I have seen others that don't last or look bad.

All that said, these guy's have made it easy. Pay attention to the ordering instructions. Ask questions and triple check your ordering before the 72 hrs expires. The products they deliver are first class. They are packed quite well to protect the finishes and the wood. Always completely unpack and inspect the entire order- color, style, sizes, shortages, etc. Do not discard the packing materials until the very end. Let them know right away if there is an issue and they will make it right. If you are doing this in the winter, bring the entire order in and let it warm up for a few hours.

The finished product, if done right, will definitely enhance the value of your home and give you the satisfaction of knowing that you did it for a fraction of the cost of new cabinets. The finish quality on these products is exceptional and far superior to anything you can do yourself.
