We just finished renovating our house we bought new 18 years ago before selling. It has a lovely large kitchen with huge expanse of counters and cabinets. Nothing fancy or expensive. The boxes were in good shape, but the MDF cabinet doors after 18 years were in terrible shape (not my choice, but that was how it came) . Rather than reface the boxes, we were able to find MDF doors of a very similar style and matching color.

Cabinet Doors Depot were very helpful and send me samples of the finishes to find the perfect match. Then I ordered just a couple drawer fronts to check it out. They were fine so I ordered a total of 38 doors and drawer fronts to replace every door and drawer in the kitchen and bathrooms. The quality was FAR superior to the original MDF doors and these should last 20+ years without the finish wearing off like the originals.

I measured and ordered the doors with 1" or 1 1/2" overlap so they covered the old frames and screw holes. The new ones were pre-bored for european hinges. This saved a huge amount of time installing the doors and allowed me to level and adjust them so they were aligned perfectly for a much better fit and finish. I could not find a cheaper price for the name brand Blum hinges anywhere, so Cabinet Doors Depot supplied these as well.

So, for only a couple thousand dollars the entire kitchen just "popped" and very much helped sell my house, may have well as spend 20K. Much better, and less expensive, than having to rip up things that still were still in good shape.
