Purchase of Hickory Veneer

Purchased clear coat Hickory Veneer expecting grain variations, received veneer that basically has 2 feet of grain variation and the rest is just a vanilla stock material that never received finish.
Their rep claimed it was just variations and was obviously reading from a script, gave me a $42.84 refund on a $109 order. I would strongly discourage using their veneers, grain variation is expected, but when the material is basically unfinished this is unacceptable.

Hi Leonard, You contacted us via live chat and you uploaded a picture of the hickory veneer that you received.
You stated that you are unhappy with the product because it does not have enough brown tones in it.

Hickory has a large variation of light and dark tones. Each piece of Hickory self-adhesive veneer will look different. When you order doors and refacing supplies, the self-adhesive veneer will be hand picked to blend with the doors and drawer fronts. I have sent you a picture of our Hickory Kitchens so you can see the variation in tone that you will get with our Hickory Wood. There is more light tones than dark tones throughout our hickory wood.

If you proceed to order doors and drawer fronts, then we can hand pick the veneer to have the same tones as the doors. If you order doors and drawer fronts from us and you need a roll of veneer with more dark tones we can send an extra roll for your doors and drawer fronts purchase.

We have provided a courtesy partial refund for this order.
