I have had anxiety issues on and off for 20 years. It can be so torturing you feel like you're at the brink of death. so at times like a lot of mental health patients I go to emergency rooms because to me it was an emergency I felt like I was dying. There was a young doctor working and I could tell he really wanted to help and liked that he could do that in his job. That's when a superior doctor came in and said since I had been seen there a few times for this already even though my appointment for a psych was not until December 14th he could not help me. As I sit in that room alone did everything really set in about how my mental health is dictating my life. And no way did I ever think at 35 years old I would still be battling this sitting in the emergency room begging for help and then to boot being treated like it was a choice. It is not a choice I was literally looking around at people thinking one day soon these are the people I'll be around when I'm leaving this Earth dying and that will be my last impression of humankind. It was overwhelming for me I left the room I sent in the chapel and prayed for about an hour because all I thought about was jumping in that pond in front of the hospital and they probably wouldn't notice I was gone until the frost left in the spring. Since they didn't even realize I left there floor.That doctor should be ashamed of himself the worst part is training the people that give their life to their career to give up on people with mental health cases just because the meds I had been on for 20 years is all that works where is my quality of life. I went there for help and I left there not wanting to live thanks a lot flower Hospital and to that young resident doctor ,who I believe his name was Josh ,that wanted to really help don't let doctors like the one above you burn you out because you never know what time you might make the wrong decision and someone could lose their life just because you were more concerned about giving a psych-med then treating there mental illness at that time
