Overall, I rate Moving by Design five stars. The job mostly went fine. I hired them to move me from a large four-story house to a smaller place. Tim came to the house for the estimate. He was very thorough and covered everything. The movers were polite and careful. They used blankets to cover everything and avoid scratches. The downside was they tried to complete the move in one day which meant the day didn't end until at least nine o'clock. By then, we were all tired and the movers hadn't yet had dinner. So a couple of things got broken in the last few hours. Even I didn't notice for a few weeks that two tiles were broken and the refrigerator got dinged. But I did notice that my prized, forty-year-old plant had her head lopped off. She is like my baby since I've had her since I was in my thirties. The top of the seven-foot plant never grew back which makes me sad. I think they really should have extended the move out to two days. They must have been exhausted going up and down four flights of stairs all day. Otherwise, they did a great job and I was happy with Moving by Design.
