From the start when I contacted this company for a quote, it was a professional experience. This company seems to understand that there is much more to a move then slapping stuff in boxes and carting it to a new location. These are my belongings and my things which matter to me. The owner came out himself and drew up the bid. I was not looking for the cheapest company but I was looking for the best. The day prior to the move, I was contacted to verify. The movers arrived spot on time and everything was like clockwork. They really knew what they were doing. The arrival of my belongings was on the day and time it was projected and the movers took time to place the items in the room which I requested. Honestly, I would give this a 4 1/2 if I could register a half star. There were a few items which were damaged in a minor way. One knob was broken off off a dresser. My stainless steel trashcan was dented and there are a couple of scratches on some furniture. But nothing really major. One of the movers appeared a little disappointed that I didn’t offer a greater tip upon the completion of the move. He didn’t say anything but the expression on his face seem to indicate that. I was led to believe when I hired this company that it was a professional moving company and as such, they pay their workers better. Maybe I’m just out of step with the times, but I just don’t think that every single job that every single person does deserves a tip. That being said, I tipped all three of the movers who loaded my belongings and I tipped both of the movers to unload them. Overall, I would still heartily recommend this company but probably the incident with the tip dropped my review of “total experience” from five star consideration.
