On April 20, 2018, I used Budget Movers to move from an upstairs 3rd floor walk up apartment to a ground floor apartment. Mr. Rick came in and introduced himself, and the crew immediately got started. They were on time, courteous and ready to work! All in all, the movers (Dave, Bill, Shaun, and Joe T, did an excellent job. They worked really hard moving furniture down the steps from the third floor to the first floor. It was amazing to see how fast they were able to get such large pieces of furniture down some twenty six steps in such a timely manner, and then have to maneuver it into some very narrow hallways and spaces.
My only complaints were that after the furniture was moved from the old apartment to the new apartment, I then started to see where some damage had been done in both apartments. In the old upstairs apartment, the paint was scraped off of the front door. Also some damage was done to the front door to the point where the front door would not even shut ! I told Mr. Rick about it, and he went back upstairs to fix the door. I was disappointed because no one even said anything to my sister or me about this. She discovered it when she went to shut the door upstairs after everything was finished, and she could not get the door to close! Thankfully, the guys had not left yet !
In the new apartment downstairs, one of the movers apparently knocked the baseboard off of the wall. No one said anything to me about this. He put the piece on the sink in the bathroom and shut the door. I did not discover this until hours later, and I am walking around trying to figure out where this piece of baseboard came from, because, once again, no one said anything to me about this! .
Overall, The move was a success, But please be careful and be mindful, honest, and considerate when damages occur because ultimately, tenants will be held responsible for damage.
