Charging A Fee on Credit Card Usage
We rented a vehicle from Edge Auto Rental and my colleague paid for the rental with the wrong card. We caught the mistake and asked Edge to please reverse the charge. However in order to do so they want to charge us a 10% fee to cover the fee that they are charged from the credit card company. I personally think that neither Edge or any company for that matter should charge a consumer any fee's related to credit card usage as this is part of doing business and having the ability to accept credit card payment. I have never encountered such a fee. However what was most disappointing about the entire experience was the behavior of the General Manager Cicely Scott who hung up the phone on me because I asked to speak with her boss because I wanted to speak with someone who could be helpful. I do not normally rent from Edge Auto and after my experience I will never patronize this company again.
