Floors to Go of Indianapolis

Horrible service, dishonest retailer!

I was quoted $3200.00 after the salesman came out and looked at our room, kitchen and living room open concept. We agreed and set a date. The installer showed up and started ripping quarter round off and breaking it in pieces. I asked how he would reattach it if it was broken, he said putting back the quarter round back was not part of the estimate (after he broke several pieces). We were never told this by salesman. Then the installer ripped half my floor up and said we needed a new subflooring. The salesman told us during his visit we would not need the subflooring. I called the store and was told I had to pay an additional $1600 to get the job done. I refused and told them to have the installer leave. The store then said ok, what about $1000.00, like no big deal. I said no and the salesman lied to us, they said that salesman was at a conference that week and couldnt talk. They then said that $800 or the installer would leave and half my floor would just be tore up. So I had to pay an additional $800, hostage situation basically. The installer then said he is not allowed to move furniture or appliances, another thing we werent told. The new floor got scratched by me dragging furniture by myself so the installer can work. So, $3200.00 qoute, after having to pay someone $500.00 to install new trim, $800 for "subflooring" ended up being $4500.00!, and my floor is scratched. My wife and I are an interacial couple, I dont like to think that had anything to do with the way we were treated, but we have been married 25 years so its always in the back of your mind, and we were totally scammed out of money. Were both veterans and used a VA loan to get this house so I will be trying to report them to the veterens department , not sure if that will do anything though. Stay away from this retailer! Salesman name is Chris, was in my house so now I have to also change my locks, even more money.
