It was a wonderful and great adventure.
I worked with Kobi on my own kitchen. I am a designer as well, so we worked together to formulate a design that would be appropriate. I had a lot of requirements from my co-op board. This meant we had to adjust the designs based on what was allowed. Even though I had a nice space to start with, it was very difficult to lay things out. We had to maximize our efforts so that we would have the kind of kitchen we needed.
For instance, I had the washing machine in the kitchen. We needed to make the cabinets deeper than the typical 24 inches; a depth of 30 was needed instead. Because of this partnership, we were able to refine things until the space got to the most perfect place. We chose wise, simple, and elegant materials. I get a lot of compliments when people come into my home. The kitchen is truly the showplace in the middle of an open living room and dining area.
