Granite Countertop has terrible seams - Do not let them sell you granite that way!

I was totally disappointed how my countertops turned out. Sean..and don't use him because he does not call back to fix problems, was the salesman on our granite. He knew how fussy I was about patterns matching and sold me on the idea of having a seam in the granite. I was told the seam would be in a different place and I would not notice it. The seam is horrible where the patterns do not match. He should have told us to wait until a new piece came in instead of taking $4,000 from us just to make a commission. When I disputed my loan bill, the manager lied and said that an offer was given to us to fix the countertop. Lies, upon lies. I was never called back by Sean and surprisingly, I am still waiting for a quote on my bathroom...which we would never use them. I was initially told by Sean that I would get a killer deal to replace the entire piece, maybe $400 to $500. No guaranteed price was ever revealed to me. Now, the manager Charles Yang says they will replace a 20" by 26" piece for $650 and still give me a seam. Are they nuts? Do not allow them to lie to you and tell you a seam will work on your countertop. If you have to wait for a full piece, I would do so. The good side is that their installers are fantastic. Maybe Sean should take some customer service lessons from them and not lie to cover his rear end!!!! It would be nice if a manager called me to discuss this problem.

We can't bend granite or melt granite to erase the seam. What you are noticing is the difference in color and veining in natural stone when we turn the corner by your refrigerator. I am so sorry that you are having issues with the color. We truly did our best match up all the pieces you selected. Color and veins in stone are common and it is part of the natural beauty of the granite. In the event of color change or vein shifting, a darker corner next to the refrigerator was the only place we could place the granite so that would not be noticeable. We require all of our customers to select all the pieces for their kitchen, and if we have to redo a portion of the kitchen, we will still need you to come and select the slab. The cost we are asking for is to have the existing granite removed, cut another piece of granite, and have our crew install the piece. We more than likely have to replace the splash due to the possibility of it breaking during this aforementioned removal process. Please review our latest proposal regarding re-selection and re-installation. Thank you for your understanding and valuable feedback.
