After a terrible experience with a local carpet supplier that left us with no carpet in our custom Plymouth home, we headed to Abbey in Livonia. From the moment my husband and I met Debbie Reynolds, we knew this experience would be different. She was a ball of positive energy, extremely knowledgeable, with a terrific sense of humor to boot. Not only did she and one of the owners (Gordon) help us recoup our initial investment from the first supplier, but were very attentive in the carpet selection process. At the end of the day, Debbie gave us a fair price for high end, quality carpet. Fast forward 8 weeks later, we were a bit apprehensive when a two-man crew appeared on our doorstep to install 5,400 sq ft of carpet. Boy were we mistaken, Ken and Jake were a powerhouse of true professionals from start to finish. They were proud of their work and invited us to inspect it from every angle. Even more impressed when the pool table, furniture, rugs, etc.. ended up in the exact same spot as where they started! They took pics of each room beforehand and took extra care to make sure everything was in its rightful place afterward. Throughout the job, all we did was keep them hydrated. The entire job was completed in 5 business days, although we were quoted 8! These guys worked their tails off the entire time, rarely taking any breaks. Further, there are no marks/dents on our recently painted walls and trim. Overall, we are very happy with the finished product, feels like a new house. A big thank you to Debbie, Gordon, Ken, and Jake for their efforts. We truly appreciate all you did. Looking forward to our next project with Abbey.
