We had two services from Bendele Abbey Flooring & Rug. The first one was flooring which I would rate five stars. After the hurricane, Bendele redid our entire house with new flooring. The sales guy was fabulous and the installers were great. The second job was a kitchen tile backsplash, which I would rate one star at best. We've had major issues with that job. We had a different salesperson and he didn't order enough tile, plus the initial border was placed wrong. So we faced an installation delay for more tile to arrive. We had already planned a two-month vacation on which we left. Upon our return, I had to call them to come back. These installers didn't speak English. Once again, the salesperson didn't order enough tile. The layout was supposed to be herringbone which I documented in an email and he claimed that I never mentioned before. So we are facing another delay. What they fail to realize is that we can't get the rest of our kitchen finished until the backsplash is laid. I'm planning to call the store today to talk to the manager. Flooring-wise, they did a fabulous job but I wish I had never hired them for the tile backsplash.
