Abbey Carpet & Interiors did two carpet jobs and one wood flooring job for us. The two carpet jobs turned out great, but the wood flooring project was a nightmare. They over promised and under delivered and it turned out to be a huge problem.

We moved into a home with wood flooring in 3 out of 4 rooms, and we wanted wood flooring in the fourth room. We asked them to match the new flooring to the old flooring, and they said they could do that. After they completed the work, the new flooring was not even remotely close to matching flooring in the other rooms, and the installers made some rudimentary mistakes.

The old floors were finished with shellac, but they used polyurethane to finish the new floor, so it didn't look the same at all and it doesn't hold up very well. We were willing to pay the higher price for them to get it done right, but it did not turn out well at all. We had to get it re-done, and they charged us more for that.

Another issue that came up was that the previous owners had installed wood flooring over another wood floor, and the installers didn't tell us that, so when we tried to have the dish washer removed they had to tear up the counter tops to get it out, because of that second floor. The installers should have mentioned this to us when they discovered it.

We were very disappointed with the whole situation.
