I always, always read reviews when tackling on a new project or buying a new product. But I never, never write reviews because I am lazy and exhausted from all that process. So you are seeing a very rare but well deserved review.

Showroom – abundance of selection specifically in my kitchen granite countertop project. Granite slabs are available but I was encouraged to visit several slab yards with hundreds of selection. It was overwhelming seeing different products in different slab yards and decided to choose from their lot since it was on par with the others. Tile selection for backsplash as well as tile layout designs were available in their showroom with great and friendly staff to help you. My sales rep, Jennifer, always available for communication, showed tremendous pride in her work by patiently drawing my layout (TRUE SCALE!) in their huge showroom mirror and quickly took a picture and showed it to me – how awesome is that! That’s customer service!

Demo and installation – installation was straight forward and clean but too rough (fast) for my taste. I had to purchase and replace a couple of outlet receptacles plus an entire junction box as they were ripped out of their studs when backsplash was pulled out. I also plan to sell the old sink and faucet but were ripped out entirely along with the countertop. Also for homeowners who have DIYed some plumbing to always shut water off from the main line so as not to disturb an old water shut-off valve (replaced this with a new one too). I should have stayed on top of it and micro managed the situation. But again, this was not a major issue just stating the fact of my experience. The overall installation was professionally done.

Tile backsplash installation - the staff of Miguel, Leo and Marcos should be commended for their great work especially Miguel who stayed by himself and finished the entire project. I purposely did not install my new vent hood and window sill trim until the entire backsplash was complete. But then I realized that the tiles may interfere with my installation so I hurriedly installed them while the crew worked patiently around me (it was the same situation when I was installing the new junction box and the outlets). Miguel is a genius in tile installation as the layout has great symmetry. Awesome and awesome.
