Not pleased wtih experience
TLC charges $69 to come out to the property. This is a pretty standard fee however, what they fail to share with you is their diagnostic fee is $300+. If I remember correctly, it's pushing the $400 range. They graciously role the $69 fee into that and suggest they are giving you a discount by giving you a VIP Plan for $99. In short, I eneded up paying $322 to have a light switched changed out. Failure to be transparent creates sticker shock and an unhappy experience despite the quality of the work. Having used multiple electrician companies over the years, I can tell you this is extremely high. With the VIP plan though, it only costs me $200+ in the future for a diagnostic test? By the way, that diagnostic check doesn't inlcude actual repairs. Have to say that I'm a first time and last time customer. Service tech was great but he was put into a position to defend the undefensible. Offering a warranty doesn't justify this level of cost. Can and have obtained equivalent service at much more reasonable prices. Unfortunate as I have multiple rental properties in the area. Would have been nice to have a partnership and not feel like you were raked across the coals.
