TLC's $89 service call concluded with a $700 minimum bid, to repair a faulty pool pump gasket and included an option that included a $3,000 high-end pool pump motor.
The next day, using an alternate pool equipment service technician, the faulty gasket was repaired in one hour, for $125.
My unfavorable response to TLC's follow up email never was answered.
