I had to have 3 different tech's come out before the garage door world. Tech #1 made a huge mess with his expertise in fixing the door. He used part of my white picket fence to stabilize the door horizontally by hammering them to the metal door. I found my handsaw laying in the yard a few days after he left. My neighbor came to look at it and was stunned the name Wellborn was attached to such a mess. He did mention that I might need a new door. Charged $300 to fix it. A few months later, I got a call at work that my garage was open. My neighbor knowing my living situation suggested that I come lower it and when I got home I couldn't get it down. Called Welborn for help. They sent someone out to hand pull it down which too all of 2 minutes and charged $45. At that time decided to have a new garage door put in and made an appointment for the 23rd of the month. Took off work for the AM but no one showed. That must have been my misunderstanding. Got a call on the 29 that a tech was on his way to my house to install. I didn't have an appointment on that date. Took of the 30th AM and a fine tech came by to get the job done. The door cost $649+45$300= $994 for a door that should have been much less. $45 to pull down a door? $300 for such a mess? I feel there should have at least a discount for MY inconvenience.
