They made and confirmed an appointment with me to make a plumbing repair following the winter storm. The water in my home is turned off. They made and confirmed an appointment with us for Saturday between 9 and 6. They did not come and contacted us late in the day to say they wouldn’t be able to come out until “hopefully the end of NEXT week.” Subsequently, after I complained, they said my appointment would be sometime in early March.
I understand they are busy due to damage from the freeze; my complaint is that they made and confirmed an appointment that they had absolutely no intention to keep since they are so behind that they cannot possible come to my home for another two weeks. If they did not have available appointments, they should not have made and confirmed one with me.
Knowing the demand for plumbers, we cancelled other appointments because we thought we could rely on the confirmed appointment from a company like Abacus. Despite all of their marketing, they clearly cannot be counted on.
