A was looking to carpet a room upstairs when I got in contact with Abbey Carpet of Tacoma. I was a first time carpet buyer and we started there but went to a few other places as well. The other places were a bit shabby and didn't have exactly what we were looking for. We just felt comfortable with a local supplier that had the carpet we wanted and could also install it and that sort of thing. They basically took the whole process off our hands, all I had to do was buy the carpet and pay for install, but from there they did everything and it was done on time. They promised they could get it finished on time since I wanted it done before Thanksgiving. The price was a little bit high. We could have gotten a lower price elsewhere. That's one part where I was put in a little bit of a bind because I don't know the carpet industry, or the quality of one carpet compared to another. I did try to get a lower price, but the carpet we wanted was unique so they couldn't bring down the price. They promised to take care of it on time, though, and it was worth it to us. I just think it's one of those places that is local, they know what they're doing, and you can trust they will take care of everything. It's not a white glove service or anything like that, but they are pretty accommodating.
