We have had 2 of the most amazing Nurses here. Nurse Dan and Nurse Angela! My 7 year Old was petrified of having his finger pricked. Nurse Dan pricked his own finger ( literally drew blood from himself) to show my son exactly what to expect.
Nurse Angela knew exactly how to use the Buzzy ( a tool that is used to distract the body from the feeling of a shot, but it must be placed in a specific spot). My son didn’t even know she had given him the shot! Both experiences have changed my sons outlook on needles. These nurses went above and beyond to make my child’s experience positive and not continue to perpetuate the fear by rushing through the procedures.
