My mother lived at Nazareth for almost 3 years until she passed away. She loved her new home there and everyone made her feel welcome. EVERYBODY, from the nurses to the dietary to the secretaries at the front desk treated her with respect and acted like she was their grandma. The nurses could not have been kinder to get her whatever she wanted or needed from an ice cream to having her mashed potatoes put in a bowl and not on her plate. We knew her nurses on a first name basis and had a great friendly relationship with them. They knew her personality and when she was down would give her a cookie or take her up front to see the birds or even outside for some fresh air. When she passed away, the spiritual director helped me to plan her funeral and made sure that all of our little wants and wishes were carried out.
