We adopted 2 lab mixes from an online pet adoption site that we had never met. They are sweet dogs, but no leash manners and insecurity. After their 4 weeks of training, we are still going each week to learn more commands. Both dogs are walking nicely on the leash, sit, stay and down commands are all mastered. A good part of any successful training is the follow-through of the owner. We are not always perfect with our commands, but keep learning. This was our first time learning commands this way. We started using Greeen Leaf for boarding our older dogs who have since passed. When we last boarded them, we had learned that our little one had nasal cancer and needed pill chemotherapy administered. Shelly and members of his staff came to learn how to administer the drug and assured us that they would take care of her. While away we received phone calls and pictures at no extra charge. She was suffering from nasal cancer and would have bloody discharges from her nose from time to time. They wanted monitor her carefully, so one day she stayed at the front desk with them and loved the attention. I find all of the criticisms interesting. When working with animals things are unpredictable, yet the follow-through and consistency of their humans is critical. It just leaves me to wonder.
