I wanted to take a few minutes to send you an email expressing my appreciation for your team’s performance on our front yard design and landscaping project. Beginning with the landscape architect, Chris Camarillo; he was very professional, easy to work with and produced a creative design we think will literally grow into one of the best front yards in the neighborhood. You then provided a detailed cost estimate that broke out phases of the project enabling us to better understand what the project entailed and the associated pricing. You and I then met to discuss the contract with which you made agreed upon adjustments followed by a final draft contract we subsequently signed.

The project started in early December, only a week or two later than planned, which I thought was reasonable considering weather and other constraints. During the first couple of days of demolition I stayed home because I wanted to meet the guys that would be working on the project. Obviously I had the desire to communicate any concerns that may have arisen during the process of working on the project, but I also wanted to get to know them too; to make the environment friendlier to encourage them to communicate their questions and concerns as well.

Jose, Adrian and Marten (and the other young man, I don’t know his name) were very polite, worked hard and responded without hesitation to all my questions and requests (for minor changes to plant locations for example). Jose provided good leadership to keep things on track and allayed my fears when they were moving the decorative rocks in proximity to the walkway following the recent concrete pour!

Speaking of concrete, I want to thank Bob the concrete guy (I think that was his name, good guy) and Ray for ensuring that the forms were properly set and for postponing the pour due to weather threats, to ensure that he, Bob and his team, could pour and stamp an awesome walkway! I am impressed with the result of the stamping process.

Last but not least, I want to express my appreciation to Chris (irrigation guy) for patiently working through all the irrigation related items and issues that cropped up. He was very easy to work with and he worked tirelessly to ensure all was working prior to leaving yesterday.

I have also had many comments from neighbors as they have watched the progress towards completion. They had nothing but positive comments about the design and the workers.

Overall I (and my wife) am/are happy with the process and result of this project. We look forward as the plants grow and the grass begins to fill in.
