My request to bring my dying dog home for hospice was denied by the medical staff at Oradell Animal Hospital, who insisted on keeping her at the hospital, in a cage, in order to conduct more tests. My dog died in the middle of one of the tests staff insisted on conducting, and the grief, guilt, and emotional distress that has resulted from the loss is beyond words. The standard of care was breached when the doctor chose science over compassion, and the exorbitant charges for services that were absolutely medical malpractice are unconscionable.
