Oradell Animal Hospital

Stay away from this place

I’m not writing this review to hurt anyone’s business. Rather, I’m doing it to prevent what happened to our beloved dog, our best friend and companion, to any one who’s reading this.

If there is only one thing that you take away from this review, I ask that you have a plan b ready in case an emergency happens. There are many animal hospitals in the area – read their reviews – some are better, some are worse, and then there are those like OAH.

As of writing, OAH has horrible reviews and ratings across the internet and a D+ with the BBB. Too bad I didn’t read these reviews before disaster struck. Even their former employees agree on sites like Indeed that show that is management does not care one bit.

You might call these employees people, doctors, or just ones that you hand over thousands of dollars to. These savages dehydrated our beloved sick dog to the point that his gums were dark red and collapsed and his active and always-flapping pink tongue was dead and looked like a piece of dark, dry leather. It took them only 24 hours to bring our dog from someone that gets up and wants to go home and keep fighting to an unrecognizable vestige of a dog that was no longer responsive, completely dehydrated, and gasping for the slightest bit of moisture from the air – in other words, dying.

I originally typed out our whole horror story here but decided to delete it as it is still too painful and personal – months have gone by and we still have not healed.

If I could rate the help of the Oradell Animal Hospital, it would be negative stars, but since that rating isn’t possible 1 star will have to do. There are some good souls in there (they know who they are), but they are unfortunately caught in the machine and can’t make much of a difference anymore. They are forced to bring money in at any expense, including that of doing their job. To Dr. D: you are a good doc and person. Don’t waste your talent - look for another job somewhere else.

I wouldn’t trust anymore OAH to take care of a loose brick from my backyard – the business model of this place has overtaken everything and it is not humane or moral as the only thing that matters is the mighty $. Not you nor your beloved pet. This is also why they request to be paid upfront – the stooges at the registers will gladly smile (and even hold back a giggle) as you tell them what your pet is going through and may have to be put down.

As for you, “Megan D Business Owner” or whatever is your real name, spare me your corporate response (that I’ve also read many of) – it is nothing but hollow, insincere, business-protecting bologna. You savages do not deserve to be in this business at all. We love our pets and companions, YOU could not care less.
