My Tibetan spaniel had seen our regular vet and put her on meds. Two days later she was breathing so hard she was choking. We rushed to Oradel over the holiday weekend. The moment we walked through the door they took her right back and put her on oxygen and sedation. They had to incubate her so she could breathe. After some X-rays, we found out she had an elonged palate and needed surgery to correct her breathing. They didn’t push the surgery on us , but we figured while there best to get it done. She spent a couple nights there and we refused to have her stay for another night of observation. We picked her up and signed a form we were taking her against dr advise. I do think she was given to much sedation when we picked her up. But they had the equipment for what she needed at the time she needed it. She is still recovering from surgery and doing well. Total cost for us $10,000.00 OUCH !! No vacation this year. But our girl is 10 years old and should have 5-8 years more for her to spend with us. We love our little fur baby. Overall, we were very satisfied.
