Poor ancillary service
Although the medical staff is good, the ancillary support services at this facility are atrocious. Trying to get through to someone can take some time and customers wait a long while before someone answers the phone or gets back to a customer. My dog had surgery two days ago and I brought him home yesterday. At 7:00 this morning I called the hospital with some concerns about my dog and was told the vet would call me back. It's nearly 3:00 pm now and no one has called. Many off the support staff have limited knowledge about their jobs, especially the people in the billing office. They are not very knowledgeable or customer-friendly. The costs to receive pet care at Oradell at extremely high and the organization does very little to help customers who need to finance their pets' care. It's very disheartening, and I do wonder if some of the medical services they recommend are absolutely necessary as the organization does what it can to maximize its income. From an operational standpoint, the hospital leaves a lot to be desired.
