We had almost every window and door replaced with Simonton and PGT. Dave suggested PGT for the large sliding doors since they came in bigger sizes which reduced the number of panels needed and therefore significantly enhanced our water views (less frame area). It was a great suggestion and we are glad we followed his advice. It has been over two years since Armotech did the work and I wanted to wait until a major storm before writing a review. All our replacement windows and doors were hurricane rated.
Unfortunately a different company had replaced some of the windows and sliding doors previously in 2004. This company offered a “lifetime warranty” which turned out to be worthless. Form the beginning, these windows leaked and did not function properly due mostly to the poor installation. This was not the case with Armortech, the install team lead by Dave was super professional, showed up when scheduled and kept my home very neat during the entire process. They found several areas where the wood supports had rotted from constantly being wet and replaced or rebuilt the areas prior to installing the new windows and doors. They did this extra work for a very reasonable fee, and were extremely fair. We had two service calls in the past two years which were taken care of quickly and professionally.
During hurricane Irma, we did not have a single drop of water enter our home. The windows and door performed perfectly.
