Total Transformation Of 1920's Oak Floors
I recently purchase a Spanish bungalow from the 1920's. The previous owner had laid shiny, orangey vinyl atop the antique floors. It felt very wrong but I was afraid what condition the floors would be in after 90 years! Long story short, I pulled up the vinyl, found what appeared to be dirty, stained, rotted old floors with carpet glue swirled on top from 50 yrs ago. I contacted Rob from Prestige and he was confident they'd look great when he was done. Really? if you say so - what do I know? The price was more than a good deal - I shopped around and while there may be cheaper, I doubt 100% you will get the results you will with Prestige. The crew was so kind & professional and I consider them ARTISTS and fine craftsmen!!! I chose 'Antique' stain & OMG my floors are stunning - I will have them back once I rip up the 7 layers of kitchen flooring. Whether it will be a refinish or a new install I CAN'T WAIT! Such a bargain for the increase in home value. My old bungalow finally feels like it should feel - gorgeous antique floors not vinyl : ) p.s. I'm a single female and have encountered lots of opportunistic people while remodeling. These guys are straightforward, honest, quality professionals. Believe me, it's a bargain and a half when all is said and done.
