I contacted Orkin Pest Control located at 11200 St. Johns Industrial Parkway, Jacksonville FL 32246 on October 11, 2016. I received a visit from Jason Waldrop who later informed me after completing his inspection, I was told I had a mice and active wood boring termites problem, he said he found activity of termite damage in my laundry room. His suggestion was for me to pay $460.00 for the 1st year to receive treatment to correct the problem for mice and "we would discuss the problem about the termites" he was working on quote to have my home serviced for termites. I followed my gut feeling and scheduled inspections with two other companies . Both companies gave the same diagnoses, there were no mice problem, the droppings were from the "American Roach" as for the termites, both companies said the same thing, "No active termites", the damages that Orkin's representative, Jason Waldrop spoke of was not from termites but from a OLD problem from carpenter ants. I was told by both companies at this time there were "no active carpenter ants" were found on my property. I am so appreciative of their honesty and professionalism that was shown to me as a homeowner. I have choose to be serviced to prevent problems. In summary, my advice would be when dealing with Orkin, follow your gut feeling and get a second, third or fourth opinion. It's worth having peace of mind.
