did not accomplish a pre installation check of equipment

I had two car stereos from previous cars. I told the store that I wanted the equipmet checked out before installation. The employee said he checked it as much as he could without installing and couldn't know unless he installed it first. I told him to go ahead if he thought it worked fine. He installed it and charged for the installation, but then it wasn't working properly so he had to remove it and install the second stereo system. He charged me for two installations. I wish he would have fully checked out my stereo before installing it and charging me to install a faulty unit. He said he couldn't do that but I am not sure that is correct. I think he should have been able to do that, if he couldn't.

Mr Kahane, you brought in two used Radios that were well over 5 years old. We tested one radio for power and checked the speaker outputs for sound( all that worked fine). the radio was on fm and with no antenna hooked up, we picked up 107.3 staticy which is fine. you said " The employee said he checked it as much as he could without installing and couldn't know unless he installed it first", and that's what we did. Your used radio had a burned Tuner, but the wiring was done so we had to re-wire your other Radio, different brand & Harness.
I'm sorry that your first used Radio had a bad tuner but we can not install used equipment and not charge if they are defective! How ever we did discount the install of your 2nd Radio. If you rate us ONE star based on your defective equipment, I don't think that's fair.
