I had a terrible trip and fall in a McDonalds parking lot. Ankin said they would take my case and immediately sent me a contract via email. Very polite when they wanted me to sign the contract but once I did, I did not receive any response from anyone. I even sent pictures and documents and asked them to please let me know if they received those or if they needed anything additional and still no response. Luckily, a good friend of mine is friends with Howard Ankin. Contact him and asked why I didn’t receive any responses or anything for the past three months. The next thing I know I receive an email saying they want to hire a co-counsel to handle this. Contacted the counsel as requested. He asked a few questions and said he would get back to me if he was going to take the case that was on a Friday. He sent me a picture from a Google map, asking if that was the correct property which it wasn’t. Then on Monday I receive a call from him saying he was not going to I’m sorry take the case because his engineer said there were no code violations. Keep in mind I don’t even know if they looked at the correct property. Did they go out there and even survey what was going on? Did they found out if the other trip and falls at that location, did they ever contact McDonald’s ? NO, NO and NO.. I called and sent emails asking . what I should do about this physicians lien and medical lien that Howard told me to sign.. Now I’m stuck with no settlement and physician and medical that I am liable for. I would never recommend them to anyone I would never use them for anything. It was a terribly horrible experience all the way around and I am left holding the bill. Thanks for nothing, PS I called an emailed numerous times to find out what I should do about the liens and once again no one responded . Additionally the co counsel attorney was extremely rude. He didn’t even listen to what I had to say. He just wanted to get off the phone.
