Running a small business, I need an accountant to manage my books, especially in preparing my tax returns. Living in a small community such as Parsons your choices are limited. I first went to Stafford & Westervelt because they are one of the oldest firms in town. I met with Mr. Jerry Stafford and explained what I needed and that my overhead limited me to wanting to keep costs as low as possible. He seemed a little put off, but told me what information I needed to bring him and we settled on a price. It was more than I wanted to pay, but I assumed that it was same for all places in town. I brought in the required paperwork and was told that because of his caseload, I would be put on an automatic extension to file my tax returns. I explained that I was counting on the refund for payments I needed to make, but got no where fast. In the end it was October before my tax returns were done. I have since found a much better accountant and moved my business to them.
