Set up to get your monthly payments without delivering

I had my reservations when I initially signed up with this company and those reservations proved to be founded. The first red flag was when I initially talked to the sales representative, Kendra, she claimed that they would be spending "30-40" hours a month to get my listing on the first page of Google. I asked what exactly they would be doing for those 30-40 hours and she could not tell me. The catch phrase is simply "maintaining my listing". But she explained to me about their "performance promise" where if I'm not on the first page of Google after 6 weeks, then I don't have to pay my monthly fee. So I decided to sign up.

Here's the catch. After 6 weeks, if you're not on the first page of Google for your selected keywords (and chances are you won't be), you have to call every month BEFORE your billing date and complain. Only then will you not be billed. If you don't call every month before your billing date, you will be billed and "unfortunately", they cannot refund your payment after that time because those are the stipulations of the "performance promise." So basically, you have to call every month and complain in order for them to fulfill their "no charge" promise.

This company is obviously banking on you not calling every month so that they can slip in their monthly payment. And after 4 months, what did that monthly payment get me? One poorly written google+ description which I had to call and complain about so that it was re-written properly. That's it. After 4 months there was no noticeable increase in any of the search phrases which I selected.

I talked to several people over there, including Kendra, Nicholas (who said to call him with any issues, but then didn't answer or return several phone calls), there was also a Brianne and a Vincent. To their credit, they were all very friendly on the phone, but could not really provide you any real answers as to how they were going to increase my page rank.

So if they call you, I would point blank ask them how they plan on getting you on the first page of google. If they say spending "30-40 hours maintaining your listing" hang up the phone and save your money like I should have done.
