I recently bought a used home and had a new floor put in, when the crew was done there was a lot of dust on the windows and in the air ducts. I called ABC and they sent a technician out the next week. I paid for to have the ducts cleaned on two AC units. But the tech came to house and told me that the basic service only coverred so much and he would need more money to replace the vents, and it was extra to "really clean" all of the ducts. I paid just over $400 dollars and that was considered only enough for a cursory service and if I wanted to the ducts to be fully cleaned it would be more, plus the price of extra cleaning chemicals, plus filters and on and on it went. I splurged for the extra vents, it took two weeks for them to arrive in the mail, and they were the wrong size. I called ABC to have them returned and have a tech come out and remeasure the vents- then I called back a week later, and then 4 days later. Finally they sent someone out to take the measurement and replace the vents. The whole time he was there he kept trying to upsale me on all the other services and chemicals that I need to clean the vents.
The service was poor and the price was high and once they got in the house all they wanted to do was tell me how much more money I needed to pay in order to actually do the job that they promised to do in the first place.
