Classy Chassis Express

$220 detail should have cost $50

I made an appt online to get my 2009 Dodge Caliber SRT4 detailed at Classy Chassis 5 days ahead of time. I told them when I dropped off my car, I was selling it and wanted it thoroughly cleaned. I thought their facility was nice, and the people were nice. I dropped it off at 0800 and a technician went over the car with me and what all they would do.
The quality of work, however was not worth the price I paid. When I picked it up, there were still pine needles in the frame of the car when the hatch was opened. There was dog fur on the ceiling in the back, and when I moved the speaker, it had not been vacuumed. There was sand and dog fur underneath. The side of the speaker had dog fur too that came off with a quick wipe of a towel.
The cup holders, glove box, and center console were not even wiped down and they still had dirt in/on them. The headliner had fingerprints on the plastic part around the sun roof, and the water stains had not been touched. When I opened the side door, it was still wet on the car frame and a string from their towel they used to wipe it was in there.
They guy offered to have me leave it there to fix those issues. I did and came back at 5:30pm to pick it up. When I looked over the car, I could tell that the trunk had been vacuumed, but the headliner was still dirty. The guy that looked it over with me wiped down the headliner on the spot and the dirt came off. There was wax residue on the outside of the car, and it really just looked like it had been run thru a car wash, then quickly wiped down. He buffed the parts of the car to get the residue off. But the car did not shine like extra care had been given to it. There were pine needles still in the rubber on the windows.
After the second time, he offered to have me bring it in the next day to remedy everything that wasn't done the second time, but their hours don't correspond with my Friday work schedule. At that point, I could tell that I cared more about the job being done right, then they do, so I just fixed everything myself when I got home.
They did offer to clean my other vehicle for me to make up for the bad job they did on my Caliber, but really...the caliber is the one I needed them to pay attention to. I feel like I wasted at least $100 because the last time I had my car detailed by a guy in South Carolina for only $120 and his quality was showroom. I'll never go there again, and I'll recommend that others do not take their car there to get detailed.
