I am Carly in SC and have a new Infinity. This is my first Handi Quilter system and I can tell you, I vacillated for a year on which new machine was for me. There are so many wonderful things about the Infinity, it is hard to pick a favorite.

I am still playing on my first practice piece...but so far, I have done regular freehand design in both modalities of stitch regulated...haven't played with manual yet...scary to me. I have drawn a "square block" on my piece and placed and stitched a feathered wreath design within it....I have used the channel locks in both directions...I am about to attempt an allover computerized design for a bit to see if I can align the designs correctly. For now, I have my books sitting under my elbow as I do a by the numbers approach. It is a whole new learning curve and I love it.

The machine is a peach and my dealer Donna Sontag from Whatever's Quilted in North Carolina is awesome. Her setup was stellar and she is so picky about getting it "right"...between she and my sweetie it is perfectly balanced and I can move the machine as big as it is with one finger.
I as thrilled with it.
