I can't remember how long I've been with R&R Mechanical Services, but it's been at least five years. I had a gas leak from the furnace and the gas company came out. I have a contract with them that I pay monthly for maintenance and labor, and they couldn't find anything wrong. But the smell kept getting worse for days and days. I thought it might be coming from one of my neighbor's houses. Even people walking by could smell the gas leak. I can't remember how I thought of R&R, they weren't recommended. I might have read about them or something. So I called R&R and Ramone came to check. He said he had to turn the gas off immediately. There was a big hole in my furnace, and he took a picture. The furnace had to be replaced and Ramone was able to do it the very next day. Now, they come and maintain my furnace and condenser every year or two. I haven't had any problems since. Any problems that now come up are now being corrected right away. I thought I could depend on the gas company, but they couldn't find anything wrong with my furnace. Years ago a house on my block had the same problem and the gas company came out and checked every house on the block. They couldn't find anything wrong then, and soon after, her house blew up. She was able to get out with her children, but without their shoes. I have stopped depending on the gas company since they couldn't find the hole in my furnace. I don't pay into their investment plan anymore. Save your money from PGW.
