Be Careful if you use Grigsby's
Grigsby's put carpet padding on concrete that was heavily stained with pet urine at my rent house. They told me it was my responsibility to have it treated, which I understood since they don't offer that service, they only told me about it AFTER the installed the padding. I wasn't given the opportunity to have it treated before it was already glued in place.
I was then told they were going to charge me extra for the installation of new padding because they weren't going to remove what they just glued in place. It took me 20-30 minutes to remove the padding without harming it so it could be used once the concrete was treated.
Cindy (Sales Representative) and Penny (Manager) said they install carpeting on untreated flooring all the time. REALLY?!
There was no offer of resolution to the problem. In their opinion, they were right and I was wrong. Cindy even went as far as to call me the most difficult customer she's ever dealt with.
I have been in retail for over 25 years and I know how and when to accept responsibility when I've made a mistake. Obviously, Gigsby's has yet to learn this lesson.
