The thing I really like about Dougles J eXchange is that they employ hair styling professionals with a variety of experience levels, and the price you pay reflects this. For example, you can have your hair cut by a level 1 stylist, who has graduated from a Douglas J Institute program and is just starting out, and pay around $20; or, you can choose a level 2, 3, or 4 stylist who has more experience and pay more, up to around $65. I've had my hair cut here by stylists at both level 1 and level 4, and have found the experiences to always be satisfactory. My level 4 haircut was, of course, a bit better and went much more quickly, which was a reflection of the stylist's confidence and years of experience. The level 1 haircut was still very good, though, and exceeded my expectations for a $20 cut. The staff is very friendly and service is excellent. I enjoy the setting a great deal, too, as it's very open, well-lit, and modern.
