Sabine's van made our trip through Alaska an incredibly good experience. My girlfriend and I rented Felix, one of her camper vans, and made a 12 day route in the fist half oh July through Kenai Peninsula, Matanuska Glacier, Paxson, and Denali National Park.

The day we arrived, Sabine picked us up at our hotel in Anchorage at 10AM and drove us to her home in Wasilla. The van was spotless and in PERFECT conditions. It came with two sleeping bags and a warm blanket. We slept in a very comfortable mattress in the back, and rented the camping equipment. It had everything we could possibly need, including two chairs and a portable table, propane stove, all kind of pans and cutlery, a drinking water deposit and sufficient storage room for food and luggage.

She explained us everything we needed to know for our trip, provided us with a list of phone numbers and indications in case of emergency, and gave us all kind of tips for our trip. Paper maps were very useful since there em was no phone reception at several points.

We didn't have any problem at all during the trip, but it was good to know that Sabine provided coverage in case we had any mechanical issue. No need though; the vans are very well maintained.

Sabine was very responsive by email and on the phone while doing the booking and during the trip. On the last day we returned the van and she drove us back to Anchorage.

Overall we couldn't have had a better experience, and renting the van with Sabine was without any doubt what took our trip to the next level. The camper van is the perfect compromise between a car (you can sleep comfortably wherever you want without having to set up a tent every day) and an RV (you are allowed in tent-camping sites). An example: one of the days in Kenai we couldn't find a spot at a camping, but having the van allowed us to find a wonderful place by a river and park for the night –one of the best nights we spent!

If we could repeat the trip we would certainly book again the van with Sabine, and we would recommend anyone thinking about doing this kind of trip to do the same!
