I have taken care of my aunt for over 15 years. She was able to live on her own with just a little help here and there for years. That all changed when she fell and broke her hip. She had a slow recovery and her doctor told us she needed skilled nursing care and rehabilitation. We checked out several of the homes in the Pittsburg area and quickly came to realize that most were drab and dreary places. Medicalodge was different, it was bright and clean, the staff all smiled and showed a real interest in my aunt’s needs, they even let her meet two prospective roommates to decide which room she wanted. She has been there for over a year now and has decided that she likes it so much she doesn’t want to even think about going back home.
