Barely competent!
Took my rough idle car in for a diagnosis. After $104 they told me the cylinder head needed to be sent out and resurfaced. carbon build up on the exhaust valve on cylinder 3 was supposedly causing a miss-fire. They gave me two options, rebuild engine or swap out for a new motor all together. At minimum it would have cost me at least $1500. I took it to the guy I bought it from. He pushed down on the ignition coil in cylinder 3 and it snapped it all the way. Check engine light went off, car runs great now. They didn't even check basic wire connections. I have an Astro van they couldn't fix either. It had a miss fire on a cylinder. They did multiple rounds of work and didn't fix it. Now it stalls on the freeway. Like I said, barely competent.
