I usually get my MINI serviced at a shop right down the street from this location, and they quoted me $6500 for a transmission overhaul, and another $1500 for a new clutch and flywheel. They said that MINI Cooper transmissions cannot be rebuilt. This did not sound right so I got a second opinion at Eagle Transmission Plano. I met Todd and he was very helpful from the beginning. He was very professional with me. The process took time though, but the they are a very busy shop and they properly diagnos the problems along with ordering all new parts. I followed up everyday, and they were very frank with me about the process to fix it. Todd tried every bit to save me money, which is very beneficial and very uncommon these days. I do realize that it would not be cheap to fix the car because the parts were so expensive. The grand total was around $4800 (including a new clutch), saving me over $3000 compared to my first quote. What makes this shop stand out from so many others besides their excellent customer service is they do not give estimates. They give upfront prices. It not only makes decision making easier, but you are not going to have to worry about paying any extra over the estimate. That has happened to me several times. Overall, very pleasant. I will definitely be back when my car has any other issues.
