We have seen Discount Garage at the Home and Garden shows each year and talked to them about a problem we had with our current (now previous) garage door opener.....the lights weren't working properly, it was noisy as heck, it rattled, clunked...and we hated it. The new models out were nice but we were just afraid of getting something that we didn't like. We talked to another vendor who had the same fancy opener we had been looking at and their price was cheaper than Discounts......BUT......they charged an install fee that then made the total price MORE than Discount Garage ..... their cost includes the install. This year, we finally stopped and talked to the vendor more seriously about what we wanted...We knew the one we had wasn't going to get better and it just needed to go. So we bit the bullet, got the one we wanted and figured they would come install it in a week or 2. WRONG...we signed up on Friday and they wanted to install 2 days later on Sunday!!! I wasn't going to be home, so I asked for Monday morning instead...No problem--between 9-11. Our tech called about 10:15 and said he would be here within 5-10 minutes and he was.....an hour later, we had a new door opener installed, it was so quiet and the lights worked!!! (it's the little things :) ) We are still getting used to opening the door to go into the garage and the overhead light comes on instead of having to turn on the ceiling light. The tech was awesome--so knowledgeable, friendly and programmed everything without issue. He also explained how I can program our vehicle rear view mirror to open the garage door. (he couldn't do that, company policy which he explained and I understood totally). I am very pleased with Discount Garage Door. You know, many times, you see the words 'discount' in a company name and you see why they are discount.....you get discounted service, discount quality and discount product......not with this company....they are superior in our book!
