I went into Sound of Tri-state at the original location to get an advertised 3-pack of items containing a Receiver, 6.5in speakers, and 6x9 speakers, all by Alpine. When I arrived I was told that they were out of stock of the 6x9 and was offered an "upgrade" to 3 Way Rockford Fosgate Prime 6x9 speakers. I gladly accepted with the entire staff saying these were an upgrade, but later realized that I had been fooled. Not only did these speakers receive less power (in Watts), but they were cheaper in price, and quite frankly, produce an embarrassing sound (which is extremely quiet). The staff offered me the correct product, which was a floor model for $10 off and the same warranty, but assured me that the RF speakers were compromable if not better. I believe this to be false, and wish that I would have gone with the floor models, even if they were used. But besides this, I will not return to any place besides Sound of Tristate for business, due to my extremely good experiences at the Kirkwood Highway location, and Dover locations. I just wish they had the right product in stick, but at least I left with something!
