Grapids might be decent when it comes to just a tune up, but we had them replace our 20 year old air conditioner and it was a disaster. We had to have them come visit our house 4 times to correct mistakes they had made on prior visits each of which took more than a 1/2 day each time. They downsized us from a 2.5 ton unit to a 2 ton without telling us or providing a reason. The result of which has led to an air conditioner that doesnt cool the home effectively (14 hour cool times at 83 degrees outside with a thermostat set to 75). When we asked to have them put in the proper size they claimed our duct work couldn’t handle the load... even though it’s what we had before. Their 4th and last visit they came to replace the refrigerant line which they somehow forgot to replace at visit one as the 20 year old refrigerant line was not compatible with the new 2017 unit. Came home and they cut 3 6-inch by 12 inch holes in my drywall (tried to cover it up with fake registers) and cracked our drywall from floor to ceiling. When confronted about it they claimed “the crack was there beforehand”. They added about $800 worth of damage, refused to repair it and eventually gave us $300 towards repairs after threatening to call the better business bureau with a complaint. Would not recommend for installing a new system.
